Have you ever indulged in a little poutine? You know, that Québécois treat that combines French fries and cheese curds smothered in gravy. We’ve got another Québécois treat for you! Since 1998, Canada’s TDR (Les Tireux d’Roches) has been electrifying crowds with their unique sound and stage performances.
Hailing from a region overflowing with creativity, this motley crew of colorful characters draws from a rich Québécois musical tradition, while staying open to other influences such as jazz and rock. TDR plays on an unconventional arsenal of acoustic instruments and the result is an explosive folk party that’ll make you get up dance.

“Her razor-sharp guitar picking alone guarantees her a place among masters, but it’s her deep-hued voice that can change on a dime from brushed steel to melted toffee that commands attention.” — The New York Times
Provocative and coolly fierce, Amythyst Kiah is a professed “Southern Gothic” singer born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her hypnotic sound, be it on the banjo or acoustic guitar, is matched by her raw, powerful voice and backed by her immensely talented band. Her deep study of African American roots music, bluegrass, old time, and country give her sound a rich connection to the past.
In 2018 Amythyst was invited to tour with Grammy Award-winning artist Rhiannon Giddens and the Indigo Girls. Rhiannon then invited her to be part of the album, Songs of Our Native Daughters, released in February 2019 for Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. Come experience Amythyst Kiah as she forges her own, important path.
