Epic in every sense. One of the leading figures in North America’s burgeoning Asian music scene. A global musical alchemist and cultural agent provocateur.

Songlines

Called the “Hendrix of dhol” by Manchester Salon (UK), Sunny Jain is most known for founding the pioneering band Red Baraat, which has electrified our stage many times. Sunnyis back with a new project exploring his roots as a first-generation South Asian–American raised on jazz and progressive rock and a penchant for inducing joy wherever he goes.

Sunny’s vision of the immigrant, steeped in the courage to leave a familiar homeland for a new beginning,is a modern-day cowboy and cowgirl. He sources musical inspiration from the scores of Bollywood classics and Spaghetti Westerns, Punjabi folk traditions, jazz improvisation and rollicking psychedelic styles. The mix is pure magic.
